Note: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends taking the photo without glasses. If you wear them, tinted lenses, reflections, shadows, thick rims covering the eyes and rimless-only assumptions are all out; sunglasses and non-prescription tinted glasses are unacceptable unless medically necessary. Photos altered to change your appearance — enlarged eyes, skin whitening, retouched moles or wrinkles — are unacceptable, and so is a mirrored (left-right flipped) image, which some camera apps produce automatically. If your hair is voluminous, measure a distance above your eyes equal to the eye-to-chin distance and treat that point as the crown when sizing.
