About PhotoToSpec
Photo rules are the product
Learn how PhotoToSpec checks passport, visa, ID card and exam photo requirements while preserving identity and keeping application routes separate.
Why this exists
A passport, exam, residence card, licence or visa can ask for a different physical size, pixel range, background, framing rule, file format and file-size limit. Those requirements are usually scattered across official pages and application systems. PhotoToSpec keeps each application route separate, shows the source, checks the file in the browser and performs only the adjustments that route permits.
What we optimise for
- Accuracy before coverage. A smaller verified catalog is better than a global list built from copied vendor numbers.
- Identity before appearance. We do not offer beauty filters, face reshaping or invented clothing.
- Route-level precision. Online and printed applications remain separate when their requirements differ.
- Explainable output. The result names what passed, what failed, what changed and what still needs human judgment.
What PhotoToSpec cannot promise
We cannot guarantee acceptance. The authority or organisation receiving the application always makes the final decision, and requirements can change before our next review. Every verified page includes a review date and at least one source so you can check the current instruction yourself.
