A phone photo is fine. Face the camera, use even light and keep your full head and shoulders in frame.

For photos you upload, AI generation starts automatically when this rule cannot be met in the browser; photos taken with the camera here are only sent if you start it yourself. Print at Actual Size / 100%. Turn off “Fit to page” and borderless fill — both rescale the photo silently, and the millimetres come out wrong.

Note: Two identical photographs are required, not one. Beyond the print size, Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes nothing about this photo — no background colour, head proportion, file format, or any limit on how recently the photo must have been taken — so an absent value here means the ministry has not stated it, not that anything is accepted. A plain, evenly lit background remains the safest choice.
